Our projects

Kinga App

Kinga app is a revolutionary hailing app that cuts operational costs, enhances the security of bikes and riders with live GPS tracking and alerts, provides access to more jobs through partnerships, puts more money in riders' pockets, improves working conditions through partnerships with county governments, and facilitates access to finance through partner banks. Other features include boda boda dash cams that record accidents, making it easier for riders to file insurance claims and capture crime or incidents for law enforcement. Riders receive a small reward to encourage cooperation.

Only riders registered with a SACCO can access the Kinga app, which requires syncing the smart ID wristband with the Kinga Platform. This ensures that all Kinga riders are NTSA compliant, making them preferred by passengers, companies, and organizations, thus creating more revenue streams.

This is an exciting time for riders, who now have the opportunity to earn more money without being slaves to the industry while fully complying with NTSA rules and regulations.

GBV Training

We believe that young men can play a critical role in preventing sexual harassment and assault on public transport, at home, and in society as a whole. To this end, we have partnered with NGOs that specialize in GBV trainings to train young men to become peer educators on GBV and to develop and implement GBV prevention programs in their communities. We are also working with Boda Boda riders to develop a code of conduct that prohibits sexual harassment and assault, and to create a system for reporting and responding to GBV incidents. After completion of the trainings and signing the code of conduct on GBV, the riders will receive a physical and digital sticker which will form part of their profile to be viewed by customers upn requesting a ride. Riders with these stickers will create more trust and have access to more jobs. Almost 60% of boda bode customers are female.

Mercury Rising

Mercury Rising is a project that helps boda boda riders learn about climate change and take action to reduce carbon emissions. Through their SACCOs, riders learn about the harmful effects of fossil fuel and how to conserve water, plant trees, and clean up their communities. The project also helps riders to claim carbon credits. By reaching riders through their SACCOs, the project is able to make a significant impact on the boda boda sector, even in rural areas.
